Mourvedre from Spain

We tried this wine with steak and it was a winner! After decanting this wine has a much smoother finish and somewhat dry heavy body. The color is violet and dense. It is a fruity wine and a balsam aroma that went perfectly with my rare steak. We would absolutely buy this wine again.

Red Truck 2005

This is just a plain old drinkable wine.  It starts out with a spicy kinda licorice taste and finishes with a smooth blend of grapes that makes it go down easy.  Which can be a problem actually.  This is not a wine to buy if you are planning a fancy dinner party but for times when you want to have a few drinks with good friends in a casual setting this is a great choice.  

Little Black Dress 2006 Merlot

My mother-in-law introduced me to this wine and to Red Truck.  This is one of the many wines out there with catchy names in the $10 range and as far as Merlots go it was better than I expected.  The notes wee raspberry, blackberry, vanilla and clove which was a nice combination. It is smooth and kinda plumy.  I liked it!  My husband likes it with chocolate but he likes all wines with chocolate.
