Two Buck Chuck

According to my husband Two Buck Chuck had to make the blog for the price alone.  With that said neither of us really cared for this wine.  It is drinkable but other than the price that is about all it has going for it.  This wine can only be purchased at Trader Joe's and we do not have one in our state.  However, we will admit that when we are in Georgia we drink it. The bottom line is that when you are hanging out playing cards with the family this wine is just fine.

To see if there is a Trader Joe's near you you can log onto their website at TRADER JOE'S.

Fire Hydrant Red

This is a very drinkable California red wine.  It is fruity with hints of plum and blackberry.  But it also has vanilla, spice and earthy notes that give it a clean flavorful quality that is just plain yummy.  A very good wine for the price!

Robert Mondavi Private Selection Merlot 2006

Cherry, plum, chocolate and spice - what's not to love!  This wine is very well balanced and is great with pizza!  Great name, great wine and a great price.

Cousino-Macul 2006

This is a Chilean wine and we liked it so much that we had to post a review even though it is a few bucks over ten dollars.  This is another oaky wine with blueberry aroma and so of course we love it.  We had this with a good old fashioned plate of cheese and crackers and it was fantastic.  This is a wine we like to just have on hand as well as to stock up on when we have company.

Costco - $12.99

Koonuga Hill 2006

This is a great wine!  For the price it is our hands down favorite and the perfect go-to wine.  It is rich, oaky and vibrant with blackberry aroma and a beautiful purple color.  You can't miss with this wine.    I love this wine with a nice steak fresh off the grill.

Costco - $7.39

Tin Roof 2005

Chocolate, black cherry, plum and spice....  Mmmmmm.....  I really enjoyed this wine.  It goes great with cheese, especially sharp cheese.  I would also drink this with steak or red sauce pasta.

Big House Red

Big House Red is a 2005 California red wine.  This is a great everyday wine. Nothing fancy.  We both loved it and wished we had bought another bottle instead of a wine that will not make this blog.

This wine was fruity with black pepper and went great with sweet Italian sausage and cheddar cheese.

We plan to drink this wine again as it tastes like it would go with all of our favorite foods.

ABC Wine - $9.99
